Zanze: Help

I want nothing more than to ask

For help, yet I have no idea

How to start this most painful task

As I must acknowledge my fear

I want nothing more than

My opportunity

To walk where I have ran

From obligation free

I want nothing

Yet must take time

Never loving

This life of mine

I want

To lie and bask

Though fear will always haunt

I want nothing more than to ask

Personal Blog: Icarus

I feel today like Icarus.

Though I found my wings with them I have flown too high, too fast and with no heed to that which lies beneath me.

Now as the wax melts, and my feathers float from my arms one at a time. I see each one and acknowledge how far it has carried me.

I weep, not because I am falling, but because I know that for a moment I was free, and that freedom may never come again.

Sonnet: Science-Fiction

I would rather it were science-fiction,

Than painfully, profound reality.

I cannot believe that the world if free,

When Poverty, seems like an addiction.

Living from one pay-check to the next one,

Is a societal sickness. Disagree?

When Rent over Food is necessity.

How can one plan for what is to come?

Recklessly destroyed resources now rare

Ready revolutionary replacements

Because soon fossil-fuels will disappear

And all that will be left is displacement.

Our children will not thank us for failure,

Or for repeated, reckless behaviour.

Zanze: Childhood

As children we are told not to

Do this, do that and other things

Rarely offered reason or truth;

We instead take what is given.

As children we are told

We can do anything,

And though this makes us bold;

Life always reigns us in.

As children we

Take what is given,

Expect things free

Our own heaven.

As child

Like as in youth

Sensibilities wild

As children we are told not to.

Zanze: Your Words

Your words poison my heart and mind.

You give no thought to what you say;

Solace in meaning hard to find.

For that which I regret I pray.

Your words poison my heart,

Just as they did back then.

Love was neither the start;

Nor predictable end.

Your words poison

Everything!

They are noise in

My worshiping.

Your words

Sound unrefined;

The song of tuneless birds.

Your words poison my heart and mind.
